Expanding outward on Minecraft

Ever watch those movies where there's not just an earthquake, but the entire land moves.  That's the way I feel when I stand under my expansion.

It kind of reminds me of the new Ice Age 4: Continental Drift actually lol.

In anycase, this part is the hardest to do.  Mostly it's due to trying not to fall off the edge as I add a new row to try and make this thing bigger.  This is ultimately going to be 100 x 100 blocks to give you an idea of what you're going to expect.

Based on the entire world of Minecraft, that's actually pretty small so we'll have plenty of room to do my next projects, BUT, with this time of terrian, it's HUGE.  It takes a lot of time to cut down all the trees and expand the land, but it's worth it in the end!

Now, a lot of people have asked why I won't do this in 'creative' mode, or at the very least 'flat' terrian.  The main reason is, THERE'S NO CHALLENGE IN THAT! No fun!

Think about it, you build this massive thing in creative mode, and you decide you want beds in this room, put boxs in another room for a treasure room, and THEN you want to go out and gather and dig mines like the normal game, BUT you hit a snag in your thinking, YOU CAN'T.

Creative mode is designed to be as easy as eating pie, so when you're done building, you're super bored because there's nothing else to do, and you can't even use what you built in survival mode, you'd have to start all over again!  Nothing makes a person turn their game off faster then knowing you have to start all over when you don't want to.

Completing it this way, you not only have the sense of accomplishment of completing it this way, but you also can USE it to further your quest!  Now that's fulfilling.

I'm heading back to work here on the mainland though so look forward to the new updated changes!
